Symbolism
Through Parting and Meeting
The Book of Songs counts the cost before it vows: 'In death or life, in meeting or parting, I made my pact with you. I take your hand, and we grow old together.' Parting and meeting - the pact was not spoken under a perfect moon, but with all the partings already priced in. True love is true because its terms include every hard clause.
