Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the storefront. Accessibility is not a compliance exercise for us — a store selling gifts needs to be usable by the people receiving them.

What we have done

Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmark regions throughout.

Every interactive control has a visible focus state and an accessible name.

Colour contrast meets AA for body text and interactive elements, tested against the actual palette rather than assumed.

All functionality is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, including the cart drawer and the collection menus.

Form fields have associated labels, and validation errors are announced rather than only shown visually.

Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technology.

Known gaps

The product visualization on each page is an illustration, not a photograph, while we complete the photography. We have written the alternative text to describe the actual piece rather than the illustration, so screen reader users get the same information sighted users will get once the real images land.

The size guide tables are horizontally scrollable on narrow viewports. They are navigable by keyboard, but we intend to replace them with a card layout on small screens.

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier, email accessibility@malalune.com with the page and what happened. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not requests, and respond within 5 working days.
